Let customers speak for us
from 370 reviewsI'm vegan and have a lot of food allergies. These puffs satisfy my craving for crunchy cereal, plus they are sugar free and gluten free! I purchased my first bag via Amazon, but I wish I could walk into a store and just buy a big bag. I've used them for cereal, in trail mix, and to make chocolate "rice crispy" treats. Initially I mixed them in with another high protein cereal (that's a little sweater than I'd like), but now I can eat a bowl of these without anything added. I'm looking to make protein bars with them next.
As long as you remember that they are not sweetened (and have a slight pea after taste) you will not be disappointed. I don't mind the subtle aftertaste and am happy that it helps me feel full.
I genuinely LOVE Puris Pea Protein. No complaints at all about the product. It might be the best around, in my humble opinion. The only thing I’d love to see improved is the packaging for the big 44lb bags. I’m curious if there’s a way to make the bags more ergonomic and a bit sturdier, since they can feel slightly awkward to handle. Thank you so much!
4.5 stars!I’ve never tried puffed pea crispies before, so I didn’t really know what to expect...but these are actually pretty good! Obviously, they’re a “health food,” so I wasn’t expecting anything super indulgent, but for what they are (a crunchy, single-ingredient, high-protein snack), they hit the mark. They’re crunchy, on the denser side (not as light as rice crispies), but not overly hard, and have a slightly savory aftertaste. I think they could work for both sweet and savory snacks. So far, I've tried them like cereal with milk and a little sugar, and it was pretty good for a “protein” cereal. I also mixed some into melted dark chocolate and popped them in the freezer, and those turned out great! A nice, healthier chocolate treat. I could also see them toasted with some spices for a savory, crunchy cereal-like snack. They’re a little pricey, but I suppose that’s pretty typical for protein-forward foods. The bag was packed full, and overall, I think they’re a versatile and tasty way to add some extra protein to your day.
I'm a vegetarian and I'm always looking for convenient protein sources, especially in snack foods. I found that taste of the pea crisps was reminiscent of unseasoned split peas and the size and the texture made them easy to eat. I typically eat this sort of thing plain. The bag I received in October of 2025 was long dated out to December of 2027 and the label states the crisps are made in the United States. The label did not say if the peas are grown in the United States. The ingredients list states pea flour and nothing else, however the label declares 360mg of sodium per serving. A cup of raw split peas has 30mg of sodium so it is likely that the crisps include added sodium, and possibly other undeclared ingredients as well.I included a photo of the snack crisps along with 3 dried split peas to illustrate size.
These pea crispies are a great find for healthy snacking and baking. The 1 lb bag offers plenty of product for the price, making it a solid value for anyone looking to add plant-based protein to their diet. The size of each crisp is small and airy, which works perfectly in homemade bars and cereal mixes. Quality is excellent - they’re clean, non-GMO, and have a satisfying crunch with a mild flavor that pairs well with sweet or savory ingredients. I’ve been enjoying them as a guilt-free afternoon treat.
I’ve been adding these clean label plant protein crispies to just about everything lately, and I’m obsessed! They’re made from U.S grown yellow peas, which I love because they’re a great source of protein without any soy, dairy, or gluten. Each serving gives me 6 grams of plant based protein, perfect for a quick boost. The texture is super light and crispy, so they work great in so many ways. I’ve used them in homemade granola bars, sprinkled them over yogurt and even mixed them into cereal. They add the perfect crunch and a nice bit of structure without feeling heavy. What makes me feel even better is that they’re Non GMO, vegan and made in the USA with sustainable practices. No weird additives, just simple, clean ingredients. If you’re looking for a healthy, allergen friendly way to add protein and crunch to your snacks or recipes, these crispies are a total win!
This is a brilliant product. Send forever, looking for a crispy puff to replicate Rice Krispies, and to do it with a single ingredient, pea flour, which packs, protein punch, is just genius. clean, healthy, tasty. The texture is just right. Probably a little firmer than a rice crispy, but it acts pretty much the same way if you were to eat it as a cereal and milk. It takes a little time to soften (just like RK does), but gets there nicely. I bought these primarily to go into protein bars. I make.RX Bar dupe recipe, and they tend to be a little too one-note – I like to have a little texture in my bars. He’s a perfect for that. I also add them to seeds, nuts, cranberries, or a little trail mix with perfect texture. I think they taste great, and i’m not! I don’t usually love the taste of pea protein products. But this one is really for me.
These pea puffs are light, airy, and packed with plant-based protein and still surprisingly good! They hit that perfect crunchy spot without any junk. I’ve tossed them in yogurt, trail mix, and even made my favorite peanut butter/chocolate snack bar recipe. Bonus: no seed oils, no weird additives, and they stay crisp. If you’re into clean snacking or creative recipes, these are a win.
It reminded me strongly of a crisped rice, there’s a similar texture, sound, and mouthfeel.I found the taste pleasant. However, it’s not completely neutral tasting like rice, there’s more of a subtle and pervasive undercurrent flavor green peas. If you like the taste string peas and other green vegetables, then you’ll love this.
I use it like rice crispies!! Yummy in yogurts and when making candy.
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. A perfect complement to a variety of things we enjoy already, starting with my morning oatmeal. These are tiny beads shaped kind of like what I'd guess puffed split peas would be, crunchier to me than puffed rice and significantly more flavorful. You'll know you're eating peas! No oil or other ingredients noted, which is great, and the nutrition label accurately reflects the lack of additives as well. I feel very comfortable enjoying these and sharing them in my household! Packaging is sturdy, perfectly sized, and snug without the resealable top being hard to close. Very fresh and seems to be high quality. They'll go a long way, making it a great value to us. Highly recommended?
I was looking for a healthy, single-ingredient way to replicate the crunch of Rice Krispies in my homemade bars and bowls.Pros: Single ingredient (pea flour) 6g of protein per serving Large volume for the weight Great crunchCons: Completely flavorless Slightly harder than rice puffsTexture and TasteThe texture is spot on. It is light and airy, perhaps just a little bit firmer than a traditional Rice Krispy. Because they are made of just pea flour, they are truly unflavored. This makes them perfect for adding texture without altering the taste of your food.VersatilitySince they are neutral, I use them for everything. They add a nice protein punch to my yogurt, fruit bowls, and salads. They are also excellent for making healthier cereal bars or clusters.ValueThe price is around $15 for a one-pound bag. Since these are puffed and lightweight, the bag is actually quite large. You get a lot of servings out of it, so the value feels right.ComparisonThese act almost exactly like Rice Krispies in recipes, but they offer way more nutrition than the sugary cereal aisle version.VerdictPerfect for healthy bakers or meal preppers who want a clean, plant-based crunch. One DownsideThey are strictly for texture. If you try to eat them plain as a snack, they are very boring because they have absolutely no flavor.
These puffed pea crispies are a nice addition to my breakfast cereal and add a really satisfying crunch. They have a mild, slightly nutty flavor that blends well with both sweet and savory dishes. The texture is light and crisp, making them great for mixing into yogurt, cereal, or even homemade snack bars. I like that they’re plant-based, non-GMO, and have a good amount of protein per serving, which makes them a healthy choice without feeling heavy. It’s a simple, wholesome ingredient that adds a nice crunch to everyday meals.
Great quality and perfect for anyone who’s health-conscious! The texture is light and crunchy, and it tastes great in cereal or mixed with yogurt. I was impressed that the bag was completely full — very generous amount and fresh product. Definitely worth it!
I eat greek yogurt everyday and I needed a way to spice it up cause I was starting to have a hard time getting it down. These are great. It adds a texture which makes it more enjoyable, plus its extra protein. The taste is good amd it stays crunchy even when mixed with yogurt. I would definitely get these again. I my case, the bag will last a long time cause im just using a couple TBS in my yogurt.
