The bag was just twist tied and not tamper resistant because it could be replaced. Someone sprayed chemicals all over the protein crisps. Smells like pesticides. I think someone is trying to kill me because they have put glass in my foods. Can you replace the protein crisps with more tamper resistant packaging?
Adds a great crunch with very little flavor. Easy way to boost your protein intake without changing the flavor of your food. So far I’ve used it in yogurt, chicken salad, and Poké bowls.
LOVE! These have been a game changer for me being vegan, as it can boost my protein easily without feeling like I am having to increase quantity. Great on yogurt, adding to cereal, sprinkle on salad.
I’m all about protein, and personally it doesn’t matter whether it comes from plant or animal sources. That said, if plant-based protein is your thing, this product is a solid choice. You get 18g of protein from just a small 30g serving, which makes hitting daily protein goals a lot easier without having to eat an entire chicken breast every day.The size and shape of the pellets honestly remind me a lot of fish food or chicken feed. Not bad, just kind of funny when you first see them. As for flavor, it’s hard to describe — it’s not unpleasant, and when I added it to blueberry yogurt, all I really noticed was the crunch. They’re versatile enough to sprinkle on salads, granola, or even use in baking.Overall, these are convenient, protein-packed, and versatile. I’m giving 4 stars because the flavor is pretty neutral and the “fish food” look might surprise you, but it gets the job done.
This product is stated as grown and produced in the US and states testing for contaminants and heavy metals. The product itself are small round “crisps” of unflavored pea protein to supplement other foods with plant based protein. The recommended serving is ⅓ cup, 30g and contains 18g of protein which is a fairly good amount for 120 calories. The crisps, as stated, are very neutral consistent with the unflavored branding and would potentially take up the flavor or at least not significantly alter the flavor of anything they are added to. This does mean you could potentially add them to sweet or savory meal/snacks and it should work reasonably well for both. It comes in a convenient ziplock - style bag and is a good size quantity. They could work for direct mindless snacking to a limited extent if you are used to snacking on like plain cheerios or something but I suspect that would not be the use for most people given the neutral flavor.Overall, it seems like a solid product and good value at $24. Meets expectations.
